South Coast & Isle of Wight

The south coast of England is rapidly becoming one of the most popular destinations for overseas teachers to move to. This vast area incorporates the counties of East and West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

The attractions to the south coast are obvious. Fantastic towns like Brighton, Chichester, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Southampton mark the coast line and there are the stunning national parks of the New Forest and South Downs which provide the ultimate outdoor experience.

Although a little further from London, much of the south coast is still very accessible to London taking approximately 90 minutes to get to by train. Gatwick is the nearest airport on the south side of London and one of the busiest international airports in the UK.

The cost of living is mostly very affordable throughout the region although Brighton’s increasing popularity makes it one of the most expensive places to live in England outside London.

Towns like Portsmouth and Southampton provide an excellent balance and lifestyle for international teachers. Just off the mainland is the ever popular tourist destination of the Isle of Wight which is growing in popularity for teachers, particularly those with families who are looking to settle for the long term future in England.

The quality of education throughout the region is of a high standard.
